A village fair is an annual affair. It is a large gathering place for men, women & children. The village people gather here to sell & buy local products. It is a great attraction to the children.

A village fair usually sits in the central part of the village. It is also held in the beginning day of Baishak.

A village fair is a kind of exhibition. The shopkeepers sit in rows. Clothes, toys, cheap ornaments, cosmetics, cheap fancy goods, bamboo made articles, sweetmeats etc are sold in the village fair. Everybody buys things after his own choice.

There are some attraction of a village fair. The main attraction are zatra, circus, doll dance, magic show etc.

Village fair gives enjoyment to the simple villagers. A village fair has some defects. It has no sanitation.

A village fair gives us much joys & pleasures. It is a special branch of our culture.
